Student of the Year at Eunice Jr. High School

Parker Jodon chosen Student of the Year at Eunice Junior High.

Parker Jodon has been named Eunice Junior High 8th Grade Student of the Year.
Jodon, 13, an honor roll A’s & B’s student, enjoys school as he has a full class schedule including, Math, science, English, Reading with his favorite, he says -science.
“I like science because it tells about our Earth and how it’s formed. I find it interesting,” says Jodon, with a grin on his face.
His favorite teacher among many is his science teacher James Robinson.
Jodon is looking forward to joining a new club on campus-the History Club. “It has not formed yet, but it’s going to soon be available for students.”
Jodon is a member of EJHS Battling Bobcats football team as he plays left guard under Coach Ryan Deshotel. “Our team had a great year. We only had 1 loss, our very last game against Opelousas Jr. High. We were 5-1.”
Jodon at home enjoys baseball, 4-wheeling and fishing. He has been active in the city league baseball teams since the age of 4. This past summer he served as pitcher for the Warriors under Coach Bubba Gotreaux. “I love baseball. I guess it’s just the feeling! ..the thrill of playing.” Other past baseball positions Jodon played were outfielder, shortstop and 3rd baseman.
Jodon is a youth member at Crowley Methodist Church and is the oldest of 2 younger brothers, Connor 9, and Hanson, 3.
Jodon is the son of Keith and Joy Jodon of Eunice.
