East Elementary welcomed the Eunice Jr. High band and spirit teams to their campus and held a homecoming bobcat style pep rally in conjunction with the school’s Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports reward for their students.
The Eunice Bulb & Blossom Garden Club members met for their monthly meeting at the home of Genny Dischler. Guest speaker during the meeting was LSU Eunice Chancellor Kimberly Russell. Russell spoke to the group about her background and her plans for the community college.
Eunice High seniors Taylor Vige, left, Destiny Faul and Courtney Gillard performed their senior project at the Eunice Public Library on Sept. 12, Sept. 19, Sept. 26 and Oct. 3, as they had special StoryTime readings with children and assisted them with their projects, and arts and crafts.
Eunice Elementary will celebrate the 16th annual Lights on After School on Thursday. Lights on After School is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool. The effort has become a hallmark of Afterschool movement and generates media coverage across the country each year.
Eunice Junior High School honored its top 15 Accelerated Readers for the first six weeks of school.
