The quarterly TRIAD Senior Citizens safety and health workshop, sponsored by the St. Landry Sheriff department, was held Wednesday at the Eunice VFW Post 8971 Hall. A large crowd of seniors attended the workshop, enjoyed a luncheon of barbecue chicken, jambalaya, cole slaw and a soft drink.

Students at Highland Elementary participated in a Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) Kickoff. An assembly was held where students were reminded of school expectations and encouraged to participate in a poster contest. Winners in the contest are with their posters.

St. Edmund High welcomed Lane Gunnels with South Louisiana Community College-TH Harris campus. Gunnels presented information regarding the different programs offered by SLCC and the specific ones at the TH Harris campus.

Samual Hebert, a senior at Episcopal School of Acadiana in Cade is a semi finalist in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program.
