Eunice High School Senior Project requires students to develop a plan to address a need in their community and present a solution. The above senior team, Trae Miller, left, Tyler Trosclair, Jordan Comeaux and Alec Trosclair held a “non-food” drive to benefit the elderly residents of Eunice.

St. Francis School announces its top Accelerated Reader classes for the first nine-weeks. The sixth-grade class won in its category.

The kindergarten class at St. Francis School welcomed special guests at their school - the Iota Fire Department. Firefighters taught the children about fire safety and then showed them the fire truck.

Richard Elementary named its Students of the Year for 2014-2015 school term. Karson Rougeau won the spot of Fifth-Grade Student of the Year and Bethany Marks was chosen Eighth-Grade Student of the Year.

This week’s Student of the Week is Travean A. Arvie, a sixth-grader a Central Middle School. His parents are Sharon and Alex Ray Arvie, Sr.
