The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will have a performance by LoLo Baudoin & the Lakeview Playboys.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Admission is $5.
Darran Dardeau’s name was drawn in the grand prize drawing at the summer reading awards program. Walmart in Eunice, each summer, donates a bicycle as the grand prize. Dardeau, 4-year-old, is a kindergarten student at James Stephens Montessori School in Ville Platte.

Central Middle School’s cafeteria staff members were recognized at the end of the 2016 school year with top honors for excellence in the St. Landry Parish School system. Central’s cafeteria won first-place overall in the district for Cafeteria of the Year.
