203 degrees awarded at LSUE

Louisiana State University Eunice awarded 203 degrees during commencement ceremonies in the LSU Eunice Health and Physical Education Building.
Dr. F. King Alexander, president and chancellor of LSU, was the commencement speaker.
The University Medal was awarded to SLEMCO for their continued support of LSU Eunice’s Undergraduate Research Summer Institute which teams students up with professors to do summer research projects. Receiving the award on behalf of SLEMCO were Francis Delhomme, SLEMCO governmental affairs; Wayne Phillips, governmental affairs; and George Fawcett, SLEMCO’s retired marketing director. The University Medal is awarded to a person or group who has distinctive identity with LSU Eunice and the state of Louisiana and has contributed to the University in fulfillment of LSU Eunice’s mission and goals.
