2nd arrest made in Mamou robbery

Police made the final arrest in a burglary of the Exxon gas station that occurred in August after the last of two suspects returned from New Mexico, where he had been since shortly after the burglary occurred.
Surveillance camera recorded the image of a man climbing through an unlocked window of the station about 2:45 a.m. on August 3. The crime was reported to police two days later.
Mamou detective Marie Potter said the man could be seen in the video heading straight to the drawer where a bag containing about $3,000 in cash.
Potter said she learned one of the workers at the station failed to report to work two days before the burglary occurred. She asked the former employee and her husband about their alibis and “her story didn’t match with her husband’s,” she said.
After further questioning, the husband, David Mosley,  38, 1014 Jake Lane, Mamou, allegedly confessed to the burglary and was arrested. He allegedly told police he and Justin Richard, 19, 1072 Sam Lake Road, Mamou planned the burglary. He said the other man climbed through the gas station window while Mosley waited in the Savoy Medical Center parking lot across the street.
After the burglary, Mosley and Richard went back to Mosley’s house and they divided the money, Potter said
Mosley was arrested on August 9, but Richard left the state before police could arrest him. He returned on October 7, when he was arrested. Potter said the burglary is still being investigated. Both were charged with burglary and theft over $500.
