Another record low possible

The third record low of the past four days was reached in Eunice on Tuesday, with a fourth new mark expected early Wednesday.
The National Weather Service reported a low early today of 30 degrees, which breaks the previous mark of 31 set in 2005.
Tonight, forecasts say, the mercury will dip to about 26. Record low here for Nov. 19 is 34, reached in 2008.
Late last week, low temperature records tumbled as the first of two cold fronts pushed through the region.
On Nov. 14 the low was 29, dropping past the previous low for that date of 32, reached in 1986.
On Saturday, Nov 15, the mercury dipped to 31. The previous record for that date was 34, also posted in 1986.
The overnight low for Nov. 18-19 could reach a new low mark for November. That standard is 27, and has been so since 1951.
A warming trend is expected to begin Wednesday, with highs reached the 70s by the weekend.
The average daily high for the month is 73; the average low is 50.
