Bomb threat at Eunice Elementary School is a hoax

A note threatening a bomb at Eunice Elementary was reported by phone at about 12:19 p.m. Tuesday, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said.
A note was found stating a bomb would go off at 12:30 p.m., he said.
Students were evacuated, but were back in class by 1:09 p.m. following a search of the school, he said.
A note threatening a bomb was found Thursday at Eunice Junior High School and deemed a hoax.
Fontenot said there is a suspect in the junior high school incident and he said a police are nearing identification of a suspect in the elementary school threat.
