Chamber opens Etoufee' Cook-Off poster contest

The Eunice Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a contest for designing a poster for the 29th annual and newly re-emphasized World Championship Crawfish Etouffee’ Cookoff.

Deadline for entering the poster contest is Dec. 2. The winning design will be revealed on Dec. 18. 

The design will become the featured poster promoting the cook-off which will be held on March 30, 2014.

The winning designer will received $100 cash, dinner for two at D.C.’s Sports Bar & Steakhouse and appearances in local media programs.

Chamber officials said co-sponsors of the contest are L’Acadie Inn RV Park and KEUN Radio.

The contest is open to artists of all ages.

Any medium (paint, pencil, print, etc.) may be used in creating a design, which must be 11 x 17, horizontally or vertically oriented.

Artwork must be original and not incorporate any copyrighted elements. No 3-D artwork, collage or glued-on pieces are acceptable.

There is no limit to the number of entries, all of which will be exhibited at the cook-off held at Northwest Center.

The submitted artwork becomes property of the Chamber.
