By Brandy Staton LSN

The recent 13-year anniversary of a missing toddler has sparked new interest in the case thanks to a challenge issued by Ethel resident, Richard Sobers.
Sobers has shed some new light on a case that has had law enforcement stumped for nearly 13 years.
Wesley Dale Morgan was 2 when he disappeared from his mother's home.
Sobers began studying the case about a year ago, but has run into a few walls despite efforts of garnering more media attention on the missing boy.
Sobers's hopes are that more people will become aware that the boy is still missing, sparking a renewed interest in the case.
The FBI has offered a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the whereabouts of Morgan, and Sobers has challenged elected officials to join him in raising more funds to up the reward ante in hopes that someone will come forward with information regarding Morgan's whereabouts or clues regarding his disappearance.
On May 15, 2001, law enforcement officials, volunteer fire department personnel and private citizens began a massive search for the 2-year-old that lasted for two weeks.
The boy was last seen at the home of his mother, Ruby Renee Havard, near Hwy. 63 in the Bluff Creek area.
According to police records, he was on the front porch playing with puppies about 9:45 a.m. at a rented home that his mother shared with her former boyfriend, Burnell Hilton, Jr.
Wesley's father, Dewey Morgan, lived elsewhere in Clinton.
According to the mother's claims, she went inside to prepare lunch while the boy was on the front porch. He has not been seen or heard from again.
If you have any information relating to the boy's disappearance, contact the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Office at 225-683-5459 or the FBI's New Orleans office at 504-816-3000.
