Debris, litter trailer for Eunice

The city of Eunice received a 7 ft. by 14 ft. trailer to be used for debris removal and litter abatement from the St. Landry Parish Solid Waste Commission. The commission is allocated $1,600 a month for a litter abatement program in Eunice, which utilizes city inmates. The money will be used to pay police officers to watch the trusties when they are picking up litter. With the trailer, delivered May 16, are, from left, Gardie McManus, a Solid Commission board member; Velton Stelly, inspector for the Solid Waste Commission, and Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot.
