DMV closed for moving day Friday

The Department of Motor Vehicles Eunice office at 3rd & Park will be closed Friday.
The closure will allow DMV to move to new quarters in the former Guillory Developmental Center building at 2101West Ash.
DMV will re-open in its refurbished facilities on Monday.
On the immediate horizon for the vacated DMV space is relocation of the Food Bank from Northwest Community Center to the more central location.
The city acquired the Guillory building from the state in January 2011 and has collected a $3 per transaction surcharge to pay for its renovation.
That contract was let in early 2014. About $200,000 has been spent.
