Early voters favor Hoychick, Fontenot in city-wide races

Early voters gave Randy Fontenot a substantial edge in the Eunice Chief of Police race in Saturday's general election runoff, with other contests much closer in the early counts.
Fontenot led the primary. In early voting for Saturday he had 61 percent of the vote to Raymond Cole's 39.
The District 12 School Board race had Al Hayes, Jr. at 71 votes received and Roland Miller, who led the primary, at 72 votes.
The City Judge race showed Terry Hoychick, who led the primary, with 52 percent and Paul Brown with 48.
Jason Bertrand had 58 percent in the Ward 1 city council race to Marshall Thibodeaux's 42. Bertrand led the primary.
