Experience Louisiana Festival hosting Chef Series

The Eunice Rotary Club and the Experience Louisiana Festival will host its first Chef Series on April 1, featuring Tala Ehsan, a food and travel blogger at www.hungrynomad.net.
The Series features a cooking demonstration by Ehsan and then guests get to sample the three courses she will be demonstrating. Ehsan will be preparing three dishes – a salad from Greece, risotto from France and a desert from Italy.
Tickets for the event are $50 per person and are limited to just 50 seats. Tickets may be purchased by calling 457-1776. The demonstrations begin at 6 p.m.
The cooking demonstrations were one of the most popular events at the Experience Louisiana Festival last October. Festival organizers are planning a series of chef demonstrations leading up to this year’s festival.
Ehsan’s “Around the World in Three Dishes” is the first in the series.
Ehsan is Canadian and has spent much of the last 15 years traveling and living around the world. She’s lived in Paris, Vancouver, Miami, Geneva, New York, Philadelphia, and New Orleans, and now calls Lafayette home. She has traveled throughout Europe and “after eating my way through Europe several times, I found my way to Asia and have spent time in Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Cambodia.”
The Experience Louisiana Festival Chef Series is a fundraiser for the Festival and is being held in the demonstration kitchen in the Community Education Building on the campus of LSU Eunice.
