Fall Harvest Festival set Sat. at Community Garden
The second annual Fall Harvest Festival will be held at the Eunice Community Garden on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
There will be food, music, games, craft and general gardening information available at the festival. There is no admission charge.
The garden is a partnership between the City of Eunice and the LSUE Foundation.
The following LSU Eunice Campus organizations will have food and assorted items for sale to raise funds for their club activities:
Nursing Association – hot dogs, chili and assorted chips;
Culturally Diverse Student Alliance (CDSA)- red beans and rice;
Catholic Student Center (CSC) - jambalaya, cookies, brownies, and cupcakes;
Pre-Professional Health Majors Association (PPHMA) - Frito pies and nachos;
Chi Sigma Tau ( Radiology Tech) - popcorn and floats Coke, Dr. Pepper, Root Beer).
Free water and lemonade will be provided by the Eunice Community Garden & the LSUE Campus Activity Board (the water is donated by CLECO).
Activities for children include:
(2) Fun Jumps;
Painting clay pots for seed-planting;
Gourd painting – pumpkins and ghosts!;
Sticker-on-Foam Halloween items.
Music will be provided by Rick Nesbitt, KEUN 105.5FM & 1450 AM
Door Prizes, which the winner has to be present to win, include for children & adults, courtesy of Walmart, Wendy’s, Queen’s Cinema, Sonic, Piggly Wiggly (Opelousas), Super One, and Maple Ave. Pharmacy.
Also on hand will be the Wishing Doll Project of Eunice and Happy Worms of Jennings.
