First freeze possible Saturday night

Jose Lopez and Tessa Bernal plant pansies Thursday morning in a bed at First Baptist Church on Park Avenue. They are with Southern Style Landscaping. Pansies, snapdragons and other seasonal plants can withstand cold that fairer weather plants cannot.
The first freeze of the season is possible in the Eunice area on Saturday night.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a low that night of 31 degrees.
The system bringing the cooler air is producing clear skies, with plenty of sunshine today, Friday and Saturday.
The low tonight will be in the mid-40's.
Saturday morning's low is expected to be about 37.
