Flood-relief supply opens at DMV

The Eunice Community Garden, in cooperation with the Eunice Police Department, opened a temporary emergency relief center to distribute supplies for those affected by the recent severe weather and flooding. Donations are welcome at the police department office in the Eunice Municipal Complex and at the Garden’s West Ash location behind the Department of Motor Vehicle building.
Those in immediate need of basic supplies may come to the garden classroom at the rear of the DMV building. This is not a shelter but a volunteer collection and distribution point. Volunteers are needed as well as basic supplies such as canned food, cleaning supplies, children’s clothing, and toiletries.
For more information, call Officer Mary Guillory at 337-305-0868 or the Eunice Community Garden’s Facebook page.
