Former Eunice resident dies in B.R. accident

Services are Saturday for a former Eunice woman whose SUV crashed into a tree Baton Rouge on Monday.
Police said Pattie Magee Reed’s SUV left the road and crashed into a pine tree.
The accident happened shortly before 4 p.m. Monday.
Officers said Reed, 57, of 8011-C Summa Ave. was alone in the vehicle when it left the road rounding a curve in the 900 block of Tara Blvd., jumped a curb, ran over the median and through the other lane before hitting the tree.
Reed, the family reported, had a history of severe heart problems. Police believe she may have suffered a heart attack while driving.
