FBC Chataignier presents Musical
The church choir of First Baptist Church in Chataignier will present an Easter Musical “The Mercy Tree” on Sunday at 10 a.m.
The public is invited to attend.

Eunice Players’ Theatre Auditions Tuesday
The Eunice Players’ Theatre will hold auditions for “The Dixie Swim Club” on Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The two-act comedy written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten will be on stage in September, with rehearsals beginning in August.
Director Jody L. Powell needs five adult women, around age 40, to fill the cast. More people are needed to assist with set decoration, backstage duties, costuming, etc.
Auditions will be at the theatre at 121 S. Second St. (between Ruby’s Restaurant and Bertrand’s Office Supplies).

St. Mathilda BBQ dinners sale set April 3
St. Mathilda Catholic Church will hold a fundraiser Spring BBQ chicken or pork dinners April 3 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Pickup at Bishop Ceaser Center for a donation of $8.

BBQ hamburgers EHS seniors - April 6
Eunice High seniors Adam Elkins, Shelbie Cormier and Jessica Hernandez will sponsor a BBQ Hamburger sale for their senior project in order to raise funds for Louisiana Lion’s Camp for Crippled Children.
The fundraiser will be held on April 6 from 5 until 7 p.m. in front of Eunice High School. Hamburgers will sold at 7 each and it will include chips and a drink.

ECCHC host Oldies dance on April 2
The Eunice Community Health Center will host an Oldies But Goodies dance from 6 to 10 p.m. April 2 at VFW Post 8971 in Eunice.
Mark Leleux and Chanky-Chank will play at the event. Admission is $5 or a monetary donation. Proceeds will benefit the center.
Beverages and beer will be sold at the dance.

CDA 208 monthly meeting set April 4
The Court Eunice 208 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas will hold their monthly meeting, Monday, April 4 at the Jeanmard Hall.
All members and potential members are invited to attend.

Senior Adult luncheon at ABC set April 7
Acadian Baptist Center near Richard will host a Senior Adult Luncheon on April 7.
Guest speaker will be Curt Iles, resident of central Louisiana and author of eleven books about rural Louisiana.
The event is free. There will be a love offering taken.

OLLI at LSU Eunice host history buff
On April 7 inside the Continuing Education Building Room 117, the Cajun Prairie Chapter of OLLI at LSUE will welcome history buff John Reed of Eunice.
Reed will give a talk on Civil War battles that were fought around south Louisiana, beginning at 2 p.m.
Coffee will be served. Feel free to invite a friend.
This event is free.

Eunice kindergarten April registration
Registration at Highland Elementary for 2016-2017 kindergarten students will be held April 12 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the school’s cafeteria.
Parents are asked to bring child’s original birth certificate, updated shot record, and proof of residence (example: current utility bill showing name and address).
If the above documents are not presented the student cannot be registered at this time; however, an alternate date will be scheduled at a later registration.
Check with a local health unit for updated shot record and birth certificate information.
*Kindergarten registration dates will be from 9 until 11 a.m. at the schools listed below for Kindergarten only:
*Highland Elementary- Tuesday, April 12
*Eunice Elementary- Wednesday, April 13
* East Elementary- Thursday, April 14
*Glendale Elementary- Friday, April 15

Country Club host card party & luncheon
The Eunice Country Club will host a luncheon and card party on April 13.
Groups who wish to play bridge, bouree’, poker or other games, are asked to call to make their reservation.

OLLI at LSU Eunice host April 28 event
The OLLI at LSU Eunice will have a carpool to Point Blue to visit the old bouseage (spelling- mud and moss filled house) home which belongs to Mr. J. D. Soileau.
The group will meet at 9 a.m. at the Continuing Ed Building, Room 117 and carpool to the home and have lunch and dine at a nearby restaurant.
The event is free. Have money for your lunch.
