Peeping drone law gains House favor
The House unanimously passed a bill April 7 to criminalize the use of drones for video voyeurism, a misdemeanor sex offense in Louisiana, and other invasions of personal privacy, It now moves to the Senate for consideration.
House Bill 635, authored by Rep. Marcus Hunter, D-Monroe, would expand Louisiana’s definition of voyeurism, peeping Toms, and video voyeurism to include incidents where drones are an element of the crime.
There was no discussion on the measure.
These crimes involve the uninvited observation of another person for lewd or lascivious purposes, for example a person using a camera mounted drone to view inside a person’s home.. -- D.B.C
