Traffic wrecks cost $102.89M in St. Landry Parish this year
TWhile traffic wrecks causes an emotional cost in lost lives and injuries, they also represent an economic loss, according to the Louisiana Traffic Records Data Report, which is compiled annually by the LSU Highway Safety Research Group.
As of Nov. 16, St. Landry Parish’s crashes have cost an estimated $102.89 million. The cost per licensed driver is estimated at $1,674.
In Acadia Parish, the total cost of crashes is estimated at $65.45 million. The cost per licensed driver is estimated at $1,657.
In Evangeline Parish, the total cost of crashes is estimated at $41.7 million. The cost per licensed driver is estimated at $1,938.
