Tri-Parish LSU summer grads listed

LSU alumna Belle Wheelan, president of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, delivered the keynote address, and 672 students received degrees during LSU’s 287th commencement ceremony on Aug. 7.
LSU President F. King Alexander, who presided over the ceremony and conferred degrees, noted that the 2014-15 LSU graduating class at LSU included the most degrees ever awarded to African-American students, Latino students and female students.
Alexander told the graduates that they are now among the world’s top 30th percentile in educational success and achievement in the U.S. and among the world’s top 7th percentile in educational attainment and success.
Of the 672 graduates at summer commencement, 332 earned bachelor’s degrees, 212 earned master’s degrees, six received a certificate of education specialist, seven received post- bachelorette certificates and 115 received doctoral degrees.
The August 2015 graduating class represented 41 Louisiana parishes, 32 U.S. states and 34 foreign countries. Men made up 51.19 percent of the graduates, and women made up 48.81 percent. The oldest graduate was 64, and the two youngest graduates were 20.

College of Humanities and Social Sciences — Drew Anthony Senegal, Rayne.
Graduate School, master’s — Amy Nicole Aucoin, Eunice.
Evangeline Parish
E.J. Ourso College of Business — Hannah Angelle Enicke, Ville Platte.
Graduate School, master’s — Lindsay Renee Brunet, Ville Platte.
Doctorate — Marcy H. Boudreaux-Johnson, Ville Platte.
