LSU’s chief: State cuts imperil higher ed

Louisiana State University Eunice is in peril if steep budget cuts poised in the Legislature become reality, F. Alexander King, president and chancellor of Louisiana State University, said Saturday before delivering the commencement address at the campus.

Keith D. McLaughlin, the final candidate for chancellor of Louisiana State University Eunice, spoke to faculty, staff and students Monday, and he expressed his eagerness to serve the college as chancellor.

LSU president to speak at LSUE commencement

F. King Alexander, president and chancellor of Louisiana State University, will be the commencement speaker when Louisiana State University Eunice holds spring graduation ceremonies at 10 a.m. Saturday in the gymnasium of the Health and Physical Education Building.
