Couple exchange vows at ballroom

The Point-Aux-Loups Springs Ballroom in Iota served as the setting for the evening ceremony uniting Kasey Ruth Atchison and Charles Arman Soileau in holy matrimony. The ceremony was held on July 11 at six o'clock in the evening. Parents of the bride are Earl and Renee Atchison and parents of the groom are Craig and Candice Soileau, all of Eunice.

Parents of the bride are Earl and Renee Atchison and parents of the groom are Craig and Candice Soileau, all of Eunice.

Presiding over the ceremony was Harace Darbonne, Justice of the Peace.

The bride, given away by her father, wore a strapless white satin gown with a ruffled-tiered skirting creation.

Her headpiece included an elbow-length tulle veil. She complimented her attire with silver and Austrian crystal jewelry.

She carried a hand-held bouquet of white calla lilies and white hydrangeas accented with greenery.

Serving as maid of honor was Haley Atchison of Eunice, sister of the bride.

Bridesmaid included Michelle Simar of North Carolina, sister of the groom. They wore black tea-length dresses with matching shoes. They carried hand-held calla lilies bouquets accented with greenery.

Serving as best man was Ed Manuel of Eunice.

Groomsman was Jerry Soileau of Crowley, brother of the groom.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony.

The wedding cake was a two-tiered white round confection accented with pearl trimming.

The groom’s cake was an LSU themed confection.

The bride is a graduate of Eunice High School and UL of Lafayette where she received a Bachelor’s in Art in Elementary Education. She is currently employed as a second-grade teacher at East Elementary.

The groom is a graduate of St. Edmund High School and attended McNeese State University. He is employed by Hadco.

The couple have made their home in Eunice.
