Acadia sheriff's report

Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon advises that deputies from his office responded to the following incidents that are presently being investigated.

August 2, 2011
-Criminal damage to property, 700 block of Deer Park Lane, Rayne.

August 1, 2011
-Aggressive German Shepard’s, 4000 block of Perchville Hwy. Eunice. Animal Control contacted and responded to the incident.

-Disturbance involving juveniles, 200 block of Parkway Circle, Crowley.

-Resident being harassed through social media, 100 block of Valton Castille, Church Point.

-Livestock at large, 200 block of Secretariat, Rayne. Animal control responded to the incident. Citation was issued to Nathan Joubert of Quarter Pole Road, Rayne.

-Resident being harassed through social media, 100 block of Gayle Drive, Church Point.

-Commercial delivery person bitten by a dog, 200 block of Riders Club Road, Lafayette. Animal control responded to the incident.

-Motor vehicle accident, White Oak Hwy, Church Point. No injuries reported.

-Harassment through social media, Country Air, Crowley.

-Theft of debit card & credit cards, 1300 block of Des Cannes Hwy. Iota.

-Domestic disturbance, 100 block of Secretariat, Rayne.

-Theft of money from a motor vehicle at a commercial business, 500 block of Night Hawk Rd. Morse.

-Harassing telephone calls, 100 block of E Sabine, Midland.

-Resident reported being a victim of identity theft, 2000 block of Pousson Road, Egan.

-Motor vehicle accident, Gravot Road, Iota. Acadian Ambulance transported the victim to American Legion Hospital with unknown injuries.

-A warrant has been issued for Daniel Allen Smith, age 28, Houston Drive, Baton Rouge for Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile following an investigation.

-Domestic disturbance, 300 block of Finmar Drive, Crowley. Deputies charged Samuel Dupuis, age 17, Finmar Drive, Crowley with Aggravated Assault. His bond was set at $1,000.

-Criminal damage to commercial property, 300 block of St. Henry, Eunice.

-Theft of mailbox, 100 block of Bourre Drive, Basile.

-Resident reported being the victim of debit card fraud, 3000 block of Egan Hwy, Egan.

-Commercial burglary, 14000 block of W Hwy. 90 Estherwood.

-Disturbance involving juveniles, 600 block of Celestine La Tortue Road, Branch. Deputies charged a 15 year old juvenile with simple battery.
