Lloyd 'Butch' Zaunbrecher
Lloyd “Butch” James Zaunbrecher, 65, died on Thursday, March 13, 2014 in a Lafayette Hospital.
He was born in Eunice and lived in Iowa. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. He was a retired rice farmer and cattleman and a member of the Calcasieu Cattleman’s Association.
Survivors include his son, Dusty James Zaunbrecher and wife Mandie of Iowa; daughters, Laurie Zaunbrecher Doise and husband Todd of Elton; Wendy Zaunbrecher Miles and husband Richard of Lake Charles; Lacey Zaunbrecher Guillory and husband Jacob of Bell City; the mother of his children, Donna LeJeune; brothers, Rodney Zaunbrecher and wife Elaine; Stanley Zaunbrecher; sisters, Frances Teenie Fruge; Margaret Regan and husband Larry; JoAnn Meyers; Edna Mae Leger and husband Michael; Jeanette Holtzapple; Helen Thevis; grandchildren, Cole and Cayl Doise, Brooke Miles, Caroline, Jake and Lillian Guillory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Josephine Zaunbrecher; brothers, Lawrence Zaunbrecher, Louis Zaunbrecher, Robert Zaunbrecher; sisters, Laura Bellard and Thelma Tillie Leonards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Rev. Emanuel Tanu officiating.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 and resume Saturday from 8 a.m. until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Mowata, LA.
