Eunice man booked on rape charge
Investigators with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Eunice man on Thursday for allegedly raping a woman in Eunice.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Captain Megan Vizena said, “On June 9, 2014, the victim filed a formal complaint stating that she had been physically abused and sexually assaulted by Courtney Guillory. The victim was brought to a local hospital where she was released with minor injuries.”
Vizena said, “On June 12, 2014, Guillory turned himself in to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Eunice Substation with no incident. He faces charges of false imprisonment, simple battery and forcible rape.”
Guillory is being held at the St. Landry Parish Jail with a $61,000 bond.
No other information relative to where the incident allegedly happened, any relationship to the accused to the alleged victim, the age of the victim or any other particulars of the case are available due to a secrecy order imposed in sex offense cases by the 27th Judicial Dist. Court.
