Bataan March survivor
ALEXANDRIA – Services for Bataan Death March survivor James Haynes, Jr. will be July 19. He died July 16 at age 94.
He joined the Army Air Corpss at age 17 in 1939, retiring in 1969. Captured by the Japanese and forced to make the Bataan walk, he was a Prisoner of War for almost four years.
Survivors include two daughters.
Arrangements are by Magnolia.

Noted dairyman
SHREVEPORT – Services for dairyman and cattleman James “Jack” Williams, III will be July 19. He died July 16 at age 86.
He was a dairy farmer and beef rancher for more than 70 years. He was active many years in the Louisiana Farm Bureau Association, serving on its Board of Directors. He also served on the Caddo Parish Farm Bureau Board, serving as President of that Board. He served as well on the Board of Directors of Panola-Harrison Electric Co-op from 1977 to 2011, with service as the Board President for 14 years. He also served as President and Board member of the Northwest Louisiana Pure Milk Producers Association.
Survivors include his wife Norma and two daughters.
Arrangements are by Rose-Neath.

Federal judge
BATON ROUGE – Services are July 19 for federal judge John V. Parker. He died July 14 at age 85.
He was appointed to the federal bench by President Jimmy Carter in 1979 and was chief judge of the Middle District of Louisiana until 1998, when he took senior status.
Survivors include four children.
Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.
