GILBERT – Services for retired teacher and coach Wyman Collie will be Aug. 28. He died Aug. 25 at age 84.
He was an all-state quarterback at Ruston High and an all-conference linebacker at Louisiana Tech. He coached football, basketball and track at Gilbert High and won a state championship in 1975. He also served as assistant principal. The school’s football field is named in his honor.
Survivors include his wife Virginia and four children.
Arrangements are by Young’s.
