Darbonne seeking new City Marshal term

Eunice City Marshal Terry J. Darbonne is a candidate for re-election in the Nov. 4 primary.
A Eunice native and 1982 gdraduate of Eunice High, Darbonne is the son of the late Agnes Guidry Darbonne and Howard Darbonne and is married to Suzanne Thiobodeaux Darbonne. They have two children, Nicholas and Amber.
He was hired as deputy city marshal and later promoted to chief deputy during Marshal Mickey Guillory’s teure. He was appointed City Marshal in 2003 and elected in 2004, serving as marshal for the city and Ward 6 since.
Darbonne has served as state president, district vice president and is currently sergeant at arms of the Louisiana City Marshal’s and City Constable’s Assn.
The association will hold its state convention here in 2016 when he is scheduled to again become president.
Darbonne is past chief and current president of the Eunice Firemen’s Assn. and a member of the Eunice High Booster Club, Eunice High School Alumni Assn., Chamber of Commer’s Crawfish Etouffee Committee, the Joe Nagata Memorial Jamboree Committee and is a volunteer coach and umpire for the Eunice Recreation baseball and softball leagues.
He is a parishioner and an usher of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
