Rotary District Governor guest speaker at Eunice Rotary meeting
Ezora Proctor, Rotary International District 6200 2014-15 Governor, was the guest speaker at the Eunice Rotary meeting Wednesday.
Proctor commended the Eunice Rotarians on a great job done... and encouraged them, “Press on... and continue to grow and reach out to your community. I’m very pleased about Eunice’s annual Rotary Food Drive, Rotarian Citizen of the Year, scholarships awarded, Crawfish Etouffee Cook-off participation, and I see much more..continue to work together.”
Proctor briefly spoke to the Rotarians about this year’s International theme “Light Up Rotary,” and its upcoming district goals set for Rotary Clubs.
Proctor encouraged Eunice Rotarians to strive to reach certain goals this year. She named a few district goals, which included: * to increase their membership by 10% on or more by March 5, 2015, *each Rotarian donates $100 or more to the Rotary Foundation, * Each club becomes an active participant in District 6200 Governor’s Spouse Literacy Nutrition Project for second graders in local community school, * every Rotarian attends and supports local club, district and zone activities to enhance quality growth and development, * Rotarians who have been members for 40 or more years will be honored during the Governor’s official visit to local clubs.
Proctor was please with Eunice Rotarians for their leadership, their vision, and their growth. She added, “Rotarians I continue to challenge you...to work hard together and great things will come together for you..We want to enhance the image of Rotary. We want others to know and see what Rotary is all about. Invite a guest and encouraged that person to become a member.”
Proctor, born and raised in Eunice, currently resides in Crowley with her husband Dr. James W. Proctor.
She has achieved many accomplishments in her community, as an organizer, entrepreneur and public servant. She was inducted into the Rotary Club of Crowley in January 2000, served her club as president in 2008-2009 and served as District 6200 assistant governor in 2011-2013.
