Art Walk to launch Main to Main month
The annual Main to Main Cultural Road Show will open in Eunice on Nov. 1 with an evening Art Walk that will include several venues.
The 7 p.m.-9 p.m. event will include a wine and cheese social at the new Eunice Community Art House on South 2nd Street.
Art will be displayed at the Art House, the Niche Artist Gallery and Studio, Damian Cuccio’s, Ruby’s Cafe’ and Cafe’ Mosiac, all on South 2nd.
On Saturday, Nov. 8, the annual Noel on the Prairie holiday shopping event will be held, along with a number of special activities downtown related to the Main to Main program.
They include:
10 a.m. Farmer’s Market -- Arts & Crafts/Baked Goods/Plant Sale;
Jean Lafitte Cultural Cener -- Lyn Fontenot’s “Aurora Borealis” art exhibit; Deacon Guillory’s arrowhead display;
Depot Museum -- open acoustic jam session, with participants bringing their own instruments;
Library -- book sale
Music Memories -- Rick Nesbitt of KEUN Radio playing yesteryear’s sounds;
BBQ and refreshments -- sold by the Carron Cemetery Family Alliance;
Three museums -- Cajun French Music Hall of Fame, Dept, Jean Lafitte, all open;
3 p.m. Jean Lafitte Cultural Center -- music program;
6 p.m. Liberty Theater -- Rendez-vous des Cajuns featuring Brandon Miller’s Band.
On Saturday, Nov. 15, the annual city-wide garage sale will be held on the Park Avenue median beginning at 7 a.m.

A vintage clothing exhibit will be shown downtown during the month.
