Boo News: Trick or treating will be Thursday, Oct. 30

The question is already coming in phone calls to The Eunice News and to Eunice City Hall.
“What day is Halloween this year?” it goes. What is really being sought is what day is trick-or-treating being observed.
The answer is Thursday, Oct. 30.
The City Council officially moved the kids’ night out to that day because the 31st -- traditional Halloween date -- falls on Friday, and no one is interested in that.
Trick-or-treating will be observed on the 30th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
In other Boo News, the 2nd annual Trick or Treat Down Second Street will be on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
There will be booths, games, candy, etc. from Laurel Ave. to Park Ave.
On Oct. 25, the annual Hebert’s Halloween Health Fair, sponsored by Hebert Medical Group, will be held from 10 a.m until noon at Circle Park.
The planned activities are free to all. Those taking part are encouraged to wear a costume and bring their camera
