Two adults, two juvies held in BB-gun shooting spree
A Eunice man and woman and two juveniles are suspects in the shooting of windows in more than 30 vehicles late Sunday night and early Monday.
According to records, the first of what would be a host of complaints came at 12:15 a.m. Monday, when a report was received of eight shots fired from a vehicle in the 200 block of Mill Street.
And then came a call of shots on South 7th.
Shortly before 1 a.m., Officer Nicholas Cooley spotted a suspect vehicle and witnesses an occupant shoot a weapon at a parked vehicle.
He pulled the suspect car over, detained its occupants and seized several BB guns allegedly used to shoot out windows.
Police were still sorting through the related complaints Tuesday morning before completing charges against the suspects.
Travis Smith, 20, and Nichole Fuselier, 19, both of 1450 Dudley at the minimum criminal damage to property, contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and child endangerment (10-month-old infant in vehicle when incidents took place.)
The 14- and 15-year-old juveniles with them are charged with 15 counts of simple criminal damage to property. The older juvenile is from Ville Platte.
