St. Landry Parish School Board meeting rescheduled

The St. Landry Parish School Board meeting has been rescheduled to 4 p.m. Monday because of the weather.
The board meeting had been scheduled at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The area has been hit with rain, sleet and scattered reports of snow Thursday.
St. Edmund School in Eunice was closed at 10:30 a.m. today due to inclement weather conditions. Parents are asked to pick up their children.
Other school closures: Superintendent Edward Brown of St. Landry Parish public schools said, "We are currently monitoring weather conditions. Schools still remain open."
School officials Thursday afternoon were waiting on the National Weather Service before making a decision on schools opening Friday, Sicily R. Quebedeaux, administrative assistant to Superintendent/Board, said.
No other school closures reported at this time.
The Eunice Public Library is closed today due to inclement weather conditions.
