Mamou 5:16 Skate Night set Saturday
Mamou 5:16, sponsored by area churches in Mamou, will hold a youth skate night Saturday, at the Mamou Recreational Center. There is a $1 admission cover charge and food and drinks will be sold.
All area youth are invited.

Fish dinners
at St. Mathilda
Every Friday during Lent St. Mathilda Catholic Church will have a fundraiser fried fish/courtbouillon dinners for sale from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the parish hall.
A donation of $8 per plate will be accepted. Proceeds will go towards renovations at the church.
Walk-ins are welcomed.

EHS Senior Project set for March 15
Eunice High Seniors Mckenzie Manuel and Candace Darbonne will sponsor a donation fund- raiser for local homeless shelters for their Senior Project at Word Ministries in Eunice from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The seniors will welcome donations of clothes, shoes, personal hygiene items and children toys.

Blood drive
to benefit Vizina
LifeShare Blood Service will have a replenishment blood drive for Donavon Vizina at the Northwest Community Center in Eunice from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Donavon is receiving his second round of chemotherapy at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport at this time and is need of blood and platelets due to the chemo. Donavon was in remission for a year and a half then two weeks ago he was diagnosed with leukemia again.
Due to the chemo treatments his blood levels and platelet level drop very low and needs to be replenished often.

Donations Dancing for a Difference
Eunice High seniors De’Ondre Goodley and Breyana Robinson held a Senior Project “Dancing for a Difference” to raise money for charities.
The hip hop dance class was held earlier this year at the Southeast Center. However donations are still being accepted.

Dr. Seuss StoryTime set
There will be a “Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss” StoryTime hour at the Eunice Public Library in honor of Dr. Seuss at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Special guest reader Mayria Ledet will be the Storyteller. Children ages 2-12 years are invited to attend.

Next Week
Free Pregnancy Crisis set March 19
There will be a Free Pregnancy Crisis Mobile unit at SuperTan parking lot from 10 until 3 p.m. March 19.
The mobile unit will offer free pregnancy test and ultra sounds - provided by La. Baptist Children’s Home.
The event is sponsored by the WMU Acadia Association.
