Mercy Regional Medical Center celebrates National Hospital Week

Mercy Regional Medical Center and its Eunice campus, Acadian Medical Center, will recognize National Hospital Week, an annual commemoration that celebrates the people, organizations and technologies that make trustworthy, reliable health care available in communities nationwide, today through Saturday.
A health care tradition since 1921, National Hospital Week commends the contributions that hospital physicians, nurses, staff, and administrators make in big cities, small towns and rural regions across the United States each day.
This year, the team at Mercy and Acadian will unite with the American Hospital Association and 5.6 million health care workers from around the county to reflect on our work with a common theme: “Where Miracles Happen Every Day.”
Mercy and Acadian have a singular mission of making communities healthier, a news release from the hospital stated.
“Each day, our staff strives to find new ways to achieve this mission by seeking to enhance quality care and patient safety, expanding the services we provide, improving our patients’ experiences, and reaching out to people in need to ensure that they have access to the care they need to be healthy, the news release stated. We are proud of what we do – both within our hospital walls and outside of them – to contribute to the health and wellbeing of this region,” the news release stated.
The news release continued, “No matter the circumstances of your arrival at our hospital, we are honored to be a part of your life and to have the opportunity to work alongside you and your family in the delivery of your care. We take the responsibility of being with you during your best and worst times very seriously – as you welcome a new baby into the world, as you struggle with chronic illness, as you reach exciting wellness milestones, and as you wish a loved one a final farewell. While we cannot guarantee that every visit to our facility will result in a miracle, we can promise that our 500-plus staff members will always work tirelessly for and with you to achieve the best possible outcomes.
