Eunice native elected to chiropractic leadership role
HOUSTON — Max Vige, D.C., of League City assumed the role of secretary-treasurer for the Texas Chiropractic Association at its annual convention on June 6 in San Antonio, Texas.
This marks the beginning of the one-year term for the Eunice native.
“It’s great making a living helping people,” said Vige. “Serving my profession is an honor.”
Vige, 39, serves in the association as the Legislative Affairs Committee chairman for the organization and participates in many activities in Austin and around the state of Texas. This past winter Vige visited Washington, D.C., on behalf of the association.
Vige was also awarded the President’s Award at the annual convention. The award is presented by the association president each year to honor an individual who helped the president and association board of directors over the past year. Vige served as the Legislative Affairs Committee chairman over the past year, leading the association through the 84th Texas Legislative Session.
Vige has been an active member of the association since joining in 2003. He has served on the board of directors for the association as well as serving several terms as District 11 president (Houston area).
Vige serves in the League City Lions club, Rotary Club of the Mainland and Cub Scout Den leader.
Vige is the brother of Eunice High football coach Andre Vige.
Vige graduated from Texas Chiropractic College a doctor of chiropractic in 2002. A board certified chiropractor, he has a practice GBC Chiropractic with Dr. Nicole Geer in Dickinson, Texas.
The Texas Chiropractic Association is the voice for chiropractic in Texas. The association provides protection, state-wide advocacy, information and education for the nearly 5,400 doctors of chiropractic who practice in Texas, including its 1,300-plus members.
