Eunice man, 26, arrested in domestic shooting

A 26-year-old Eunice man has been charged with a shooting that occurred in the Beulah Gardens area at about 10 p.m. Monday.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot identified the man as Desmond Amos Guillory, 26, 800 block of South Beulah.
Guillory is charged with aggravated second-degree battery in the shooting of James Garlow, 40, of Ville Platte, he said.
Garlow was shot by a .45-caliber pistol in the upper left leg and in the arm, he said. A slug was removed from the man’s abdomen after he was taken to Acadian Medical Center, he said.
Garlow remained hospitalized Wednesday morning, he said.
