French Immersion choir to perform
The children’s choir of the French Immersion Program at Prairie Elementary School in Lafayette (La Chorale en Français de Prairie) will perform at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chapelle Country Store at Le Village, 121 Seale Lane in Eunice, in conjunction with the free children’s game day and Wishing Doll session. The choir will also perform at the Jean Lafitte Prairie Acadian Cultural Center at 1:30 p.m. Members are second, third and fourth graders of Prairie Elementary Lafayette French Immersion Program. The Choir coaches, Sabrina Benazzouz, Jean-Philippe Warlet and Sophie Zaoui, are from Belgium and France. They practice exclusively French songs in various styles.
