Prayer march planned Thursday night

A prayer march will start at 6 p.m. today at the Eunice Municipal Complex, 300 S. 2nd St.
Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the Care for Community Prayer March is an outgrowth of an April 11 meeting at City Hall to address problems with juveniles.
“I’m hoping for a good turnout. I’m expecting a good turnout,” Fontenot said.
The march will occur on East Maple Avenue, he said.
The prayer march was urged by the Rev. Jermaine Tezeno, pastor of the Greater True Light Baptist Church, at the April meeting.
