Jesuit educator
SHREVEPORT – Services for Jesuit educator the Rev. Jacques Weber are pending. He died in Houston, Texas on Aug. 17 at age 94.
He founded or expanded Jesuit schools in Houston and Dallas before becoming president of Jesuit High, now Loyola College Prep, in Shreveport in the late 1960s. He was also pastor of St. Roman Catholic Church, now the Cathedral of St. John Berchmans.
Arrangements are by Earthman Hunters Creek.
Bowling official
LAFAYETTE – Services for noted amateur bowling official Wilmae Gaspard will be Aug. 20. She died Aug. 17 at age 85.
She owned Totalook Fashions for more than 15 years. She was president of the Lafayette Women’s Bowling Association for almost 30 years and served on the state board of directors. She was a certified bowling instructor.
Survivors include two daughters.
