Coaches wives advocate
BATON ROUGE – Services for football coaches wives advocate Dorothy Faye McClendon will be Saturday. She died Jan. 14 a age 85.
She was the widow of the late Coach Charles McClendon and was the initial inspiration for establishment of the American Football Coaches Wives Association in 1989.
Survivors include a son and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Rabenhorst.
Retired PBS engineer
ABBEVILLE – Services for retired PBS Director of Engineering Fredrick Christiansen, III will be Saturday. He died Jan. 14 at age 59.
He was a 30-year member of the Acadiana Symphony Band and retired from Louisiana Public Broadcasting.
Survivors include his wife Chandra and a daughter.
Arrangements are by David.
Teacher, administrator
DENHAM SPRINGS – Services for retired teacher and school administrator Charles Keys will be Friday. He died Jan. 14 at age 90.
He was a U.S. Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a math teacher and former assistant superintendent and personnel director for Livingston Parish Schools.
Survivors include his wife Sarah, two sons and two daughters.
