Handwriting expert
BATON ROUGE – Services for document and handwriting expert Louis Craig, III will be Monday. He died Jan. 22 at age 90.
He was a U.S. Navy aviation veteran of World War II’s Pacific Theater. While an East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Deputy, he became the first law enforcement officer in Louisiana trained by the U.S. Secret Service as a document examiner and handwriting analysis expert.
Survivors include three children.

Hall of Fame cowboy
LAKE CHARLES-- Services for hall of fame cowboy Yancy George will be Wednesday. He died at Jan. 11 at age 71 in Hot Springs, Ark.
He was a lifetime member of the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association and a member of the McNeese University Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame.
Survivors include a sister

Retired SLU official
HAMMOND – Services for retired Southeastern Louisiana University director of admissions Iris Wiggins will be Tuesday. She died at age 88.
She was director of admissions and assistant registrar for 13 years. She was active in a number of civic and professional organizations.
Survivors include a son.

Former LSU professor
BATON ROUGE – Services for retired LSU biology professor James Wandersee will be Monday. He died Jan. 24 at age 67.
He was a professor of biology education, focusing on plant science, at LSU from 1989 until 2012.
Survivors include his wife Carol, a son and a daughter.
Arrangements are by Resthaven.
World War II ACE
LAKE CHARLES – Services for former School Board president John Stokes will be Tuesday in Alexandria. He died Jan. 25 at age 94.
He was a U.S. Navy fighter pilot ace during World War II. He was a School Board member 12 years.
Survivors include a daughter.

Aviator, photographer
NATCHITOCHES – Services for flight instructor and noted photographer John Guillet were Sunday. He died Jan. 23 at age 91.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He operated a photo studio here for many years, as well as teaching aviation and also doing crop dusting. He authored several photography books and held an honorary Doctor of Letters in Humanities from Northwestern State. His collection of about one million negatives is housed in the Cammie G. Henry Research Center in the NSU Watson Memorial Library.
Survivors include eight children.
Restaurant owner
SHREVEPORT – Services for landmark restaurant owner George Casten will be Monday. He died Jan. 23 at age 81.
He opened George’s Grill in 1961 and it quickly became a Shreveport/Bossier landmark. Generations of families celebrated special occasions there for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his wife Charline, a son and two daughters.
