John R. “Cha Cha” Fontenot, 70 died on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at his residence in Mamou. A Service of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 at St Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou with Rite of Committal to follow in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery .

Funeral services for Irma Hanchett, 71, will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at C. H. Mason Church of God in Christ in Eunice, LA. Visitation will be observed from 7:00 am until service time. Elder Jonathon Williams will conduct the funeral ceremony.

ALEXANDRIA – Services for retired banker and youth sports activist J. Emile Belgard will be Dec. 6. He died Dec. 2 at age 83.
Karen Ann Berza died on Monday, December 1, 2014, at the age of 57.
Survivors include one son, David Coy of Wendell, MA; one daughter, Sarah Ann Bollich and husband Jakob of Eunice; one brother, Jay Berza of Eunice; four grandchildren.
