“Unfortunately the game didn’t go the way we wanted it to as we got behind early and couldn’t overcome it,” St. Edmund head coach Ryan Henderson said. “But I am proud of these guys for the way they battled.”
After both teams threatened in a scoreless first inning, the Eagles pushed ahead 3-0 in the top of the second.
Stefano Guarisco was hit by a pitch and scored on a single by T.J. Ruffin.
Ruffin later scored on a bases-loaded throwing error.

Bryson Barbier earned the complete-game win as he struck out eight, walked two and allowed seven hits.
“I am proud of our way the seniors led and the young guys stepped up all season,” Henderson said.
Kramer Rozas, Christian Walker and Drake Dubois played their final game in a Blue Jay uniform, but Henderson was quick to praise their efforts.
“They led our team with class and they did it the Blue Jay way.
“They are three great guys who will be successful in the future.”
