Seven Lady Cats make All-District
The Eunice Lady Bobcats finished in third place in the District 5-3A battle behind Pine Prairie and Church Point.
Seven Lady Cats earned All-District honors, including three first team selections.
Pitcher Madison Cormier, third baseman Destiny Edwards and utility player Amber Arvie all earned first team honors.
Joining the Lady Cat trio on the first team include Church Point pitcher Katlyn Higginbotham and Pine Prairie pitcher Karli Ortego.
The first team infield also included Pine Prairie catcher Sara Tate, first baseman Shaina Boutte, second baseman Tori Bordelon and Church Point short stop Talia Jones.
Pine Prairie’s Julia Chadwick and Macey Harvey join Church Point’s Cassidy Dailey in the all-district outfield,
Utility selections included Pine Prairie’s Victoria Johnson and Jacie McFarlain, Church Point’s Taylor Broach and Tobie Olivier along with Jaci Fontenot from Port Barre.
Tate earned All-District MVP honors, while Lady Panther head coach Carolyn Deville was named District Coach of the Year.
Four Lady Cats earned second team All-District honors: first baseman Darian Fontenot, outfielderd Mia Rougeau and Katlyn Joubert and ultility player Cassie Thomas.
Port Barre pitchers Brandy Manuel and Amanda Deshotel highlight the second team, along with Lady Devil catcher Bailey Wyble and ultility player Emily Stelly.
Northwest second baseman Erian Sam is joined on the second team by Ville Platte short stop Logan Frank.
Pine Prairie’s Allie Fontenot is the second team third baseman, while Church Point outfielder Morgan Guidry and utillty player Mikayla Dupre complete the second team list.
