Funez: Fugitive murders suspect

Diaz: Accused of murders

Suspects sought in E. Feliciana double murder

By Stacy Gill LSN

Within days of discovering the bodies of an Ethel couple, detectives have asked for the public’s help in locating two persons of interest and a vehicle possibly related to the couple's deaths in East Feliciana Parish
The two persons of interest, Armando Reyes Diaz, 31, and Dulce Maria Funez, 34, are now wanted for two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Eddie Earl Hall, 53, and his wife, Connie Hall, 51.
The release issued late yesterday morning states that detectives have secured arrest warrants for both Diaz and Funez, charging them with two counts of first degree murder.
Diaz and Funez are believed to be traveling together with a boy under the age of 10.
A vehicle described as a white, 2009 Nissan Versa with the Louisiana license plate WMH918 may be the car the two suspects are traveling in.
The Nissan Versa has dark tinted windows, black wheels and a small white sticker can be seen on the lower-left of the rear windshield.
Not many details have been released about how the Halls died or what evidence investigators have that links Diaz and Funez to the two murders.
Loved ones, friends and neighbors say that Eddy Hall was a well-known painter in the area who owned his own painting business. Connie Hall cleaned houses in East Feliciana Parish and surrounding communities part-time.
On Sunday, April 27, the Halls' bodies were discovered about 4 p.m. but it is believed that the couple were killed Saturday, April 26.
If you have any information related to Diaz or Funez or have spotted the vehicle in question, you are urged to contact Louisiana State Police Communications at 225-925-6536 or Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP (7867). You can also text CS225 plus your message to CRIMES (274637) or submit an anonymous tip on the Crime Stoppers Facebook page or website: www.crimestoppersbr.com.
By contacting Crime Stoppers, you will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward up to $5,000.
