Falgout, Brown exchange vows during evening ceremony

Miss Brooke Claire Falgout of Erath and Mr. Samuel Brown of Eunice were joined in holy matrimony during a ceremony held on Saturday, February 7 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath.
Father Bill J. Melancon officiated the 6 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of David and Jenny Falgout of Erath. Grandparents are Ella Hebert and the late Dudley Hebert of Erath and Michael and Jenil Falgout of Delcambre.
Parents of the groom are John and Donna Brown of Eunice. Grandparents are Romona Reviere of Eunice, Preston Bergeron, and the late Louis and Myra Brown of Eunice.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Deborah Duhon, organist, Will Green on trumpet, and Natil D’Augeroux, vocalist.
Serving as usher was Jordan Racca, friend of the bride. Readings were given by Danielle Laperouse, cousin of the bride.
The mother of the bride was escorted by her husband and father of the bride. She wore a three-quarter length sleeve illusion bodice featuring all over intricate beading and sequin detail with ribbon waist. It featured a long mesh skirt with goldnet detail.
The mother of the groom was escorted by her son. She wore a mid-length pewter column silhouetted dress with floral lace and sequins with a matching three-quarter length sleeve jacket.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory cap sleeve ball gown with a satin bodice with beaded embroidery, organza ball gown skirt, and chapel train. Her fingertip veil was trimmed with beaded embroidery.
For her special day the bride carried a mix of ivory and pink roses bouquet tied with ivory ribbon. Attached to the bouquet was a rosary for her “something new” and her late grandfather’s military service dog-tags as her “something old”. The bridal bouquet and all flower arrangements were designed by A Flower Cottage in Abbeville.
Blair Falgout, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Matron of honor was Laurie Baus, Godmother of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Brittni Mitchell, cousin of the bride and Virginia Bertrand, cousin of the groom.
Flower girls were Allie Falgout, sister of the bride and Brylee Brown, daughter of the groom.
The attendants wore navy colored sleeveless dresses with a bodice featuring a flattering empire waist with double banded sparkling beaded details.
The Junior Bridesmaid wore a navy dress with a tank bodice featuring a unique beaded twist front and a flowing crinkle chiffon skirt.
The flower girls wore and ivory spaghetti strap organza ball gown with a beaded embroidered bodice and horizontal embroidered skirt that mimicked the bride’s gown.
The bridesmaids carried a nosegay of a mix of pink roses wrapped in hot pink ribbon. Flower girls carried baskets filled with a mix of ivory and pink roses matching the bride’s bouquet.
Manny Sandoval, friend of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen included Steve Brown, Rex Brown, and Tyler Bergeron, all cousins of the groom.
Ring bearers were Peyton Brown, cousin of the groom, Montana Brown, godchild of the groom, and Drew Baus, godchild of the bride.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at The Caldwell House in Abbeville.
Upon returning from a trip to Disney World the couple will reside in Eunice.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at The Riverfront Restaurant in Abbeville.
